Sixth Grade Mini Literacy Pack: From Deep Reading to Word Wisdom (Greek Parts bio, geo, therm, hydro)

Science words get easier when your scholar knows their Greek parts. In this pack, your sixth grader learns bio (life), geo (earth), logy (the study of), therm (heat), hydr (water), and cycl (circle), and uses them to read words like geology, thermos, hydrant, and cyclone.

What's inside (13 pages, instant PDF download):

• Grown-Up Guide, Toolkit, and Answer Key, so you'll know exactly what to say

• Hear It, Map It, and Break It, to hear syllables and build words from their parts

• Read It: a decodable story, The Geode Hunt

• Understand It: Pick It, Order It, and Draw It

• Write It: Sort It, Spell It, Count It, and a sentence to write from dictation

New heart words: iron and women. New vocabulary word: analyze.

How it works: five short sessions, about 15 to 20 minutes a day. No prep. Just print and begin.
